A few months ago I was at a con and they had some Smash Bros games set up, I hadn't played the game in several months and it had been years since I played with other people, and most of the people there were tournament players...so imagine my SHOCK when I actually managed to do really well, I think at my age the controls are built into my muscle memory so even after all that time my hands knew exactly what to do.

This cartoon IS set in New York right? I work at a clothing store so I get the reverse of this every day, the rule is that there is no sales tax on clothing provided the garment costs less than $110, but certain accessories such as purses and bags DO charge sales tax. Groceries are also something that doesn't charge tax unless it's candy. You can buy all the bread, meat, and veggies you want and not pay a dime in tax, but you're gonna fork over that 8.875% for a candy bar.

Also this cartoon was made years before "Pizza Gate" but I would LOVE it if it turned out this candy store didn't even have a basement.

I remember they started putting the prizes outside the bag so kids wouldn't stick their grubby hands into the cereal itself, all you had to do was open the box and the prize was right there. Also I imagine that limited the hazard of accidentally scooping a prize into your mouth with a spoonful of cereal.
